Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy massage is massage therapy with essential oils (highly concentrated plant oils) added to the massage oil or lotion. Inhaling essential oils through the nose is thought to promote beneficial changes in the mind and body by affecting the limbic system (a region of the brain known to influence the nervous system). Essential oils are also absorbed through the skin, since aromatherapy massage is a bit like Swedish massage but with scent added, people often get it for muscle- and joint-related conditions or for physical or mental stress.

Cannabis- infused Massage (CBD)

A cannabis massage is simply a massage using marijuana-infused or hemp-derived topical products. It’s not intended to get you “high” as it does not contain “THC” in the oil, but instead to open your skin’s sensory profile, heal your muscles and tendons, and leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Chackra Balancing

Chakras are energy centers in the human body; each corresponds to different glands and governs specific parts of the physical body and areas of the psyche. Chakras are located deep within the center of the physical body next to a hormonal gland along the spinal column. Chakras draw in the divine life-force energy from the universe and distribute this vital energy to the physical glands and organs throughout the body and bloodstream specific to obtaining optimum health and well being. Chakras are considered to be interrelated and affect one another, therefore achieving optimum balance of these Chakras provides a state of total well being emotionally and physically.

CranioSacral Therapy

Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. Craniosacral helps to alleviate the aches, pains and strains of life; improves coping mechanisms to allow for better management of stress, improve the body’s ability to self-care; and can produce profound, positive changes.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is used to help release chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Energy Cleanse

Energy Cleanse is an ancient purification practice that helps to clear our energetic field and clear the energies that have become dense enough to cause blockages. Using a fan of cleansing herbs and spiritual herbal waters, the medicine of the plants will draw harmful energy from a person to carry it deep into the earth where it can do no harm and be transformed back into life energy. ****This work is a gradual process. Do not expect to release a lifetime (or several lifetimes!) of wounds in a session. Be patient with yourself and the healing process. Often there are many layers of healing that need to release one layer (or part of a layer) at a time in the process of energy cleansing.****

Fire Cupping

Cupping is an ancient method used for treating disease or discomfort caused by local congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place. Fire cupping brings fresh blood to the area and improves circulation and is widely used for aches and pain relief for reasons described above but is also believed to be used to treat respiratory problems, coughs, wheezing and digestive problems.

Gua Sha (scraping therapy)

An ancient healing practice that stimulates the immune system, detoxifies, increases circulation, regulates organ function, normalizes metabolic processes, removes stagnation, and eases pain. The area to be treated is lubricated with oil and a rose quartz tool is used to stroke the skin until blood circulates to the area.

Himalayan Hot Stone

A Himalayan salt stone massage is like a traditional hot stone massage, but is performed with “stones” fashioned from Himalayan crystal salt. The salt stones are warmed and lubricated with essential oils to massage muscle tension away. Due to the natural cleansing properties of Himalayan salt (anti-microbial and anti-bacterial), the stones also help purify the skin with a gentle exfoliation. Hot towels and aromatherapy can also be incorporated to further relax muscles and calm the nervous system. Pressure is customized to suit your needs.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu Massage is an alternative technique that involves manual pressure (acupressure) applied to specific points on the body in an attempt to relieve tension and pain. According to the ancient healing treatment, Shiatsu (meaning finger pressure) massage uses thumbs, fingers, elbows, and knees to concentrate pressure at certain energy pathways in the body called meridians. The massage also known as acupressure works to reduce muscle tension and fatigue and is thought to improve blood circulation in the body as well as improve function of the lymphatic system. Treatment can be done on a traditional shiatsu floor mat or on a table (based on clients mobility needs)

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage also known as a (relaxation massage) the goal of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by working the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and while easing tension and relieving stress.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is an ancient healing therapy in which dried plant materials called "moxa" are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi (blood) in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences. Moxa is usually made from the dried leafy material (mugwort) and is placed over an inflamed or affected area on the body or acupuncture point and then burned. The cone is removed before reaching the skin (avoiding burns). The purpose is to stimulate and strengthen the blood and the life energy, or qi, in the body and is meant to help ease the mind, body and soul.
